Due to the unexpected weather conditions, Georgia High School Association (GHSA) and the Student Angler Federation (SAF) agreed for the safety of all competitors we had to cancel the First GHSA #1 Seminole Lake Qualifier.
Collectively we have developed a contingency plan that will add the Lake Seminole qualifying slots to the remanding three qualifiers. The additional Seminole qualifier slots will only be available for the teams that were registered and eligible for the GHSA #1 Lake Seminole event that was cancelled.
The existing qualifying criteria under normal circumstances is found in the GHSA official rules;
2. Participation and Eligibility: The top 15 boats from each regional qualifier advance to the state championship. One additional boat will advance from each regional for every 10 boats that compete over a minimum of 100 boats in the regional qualifier. We will advance the top teams as usual per this for each tournament. Once a team is qualified for the state championship that team cannot qualify again.
In addition to the above due to the cancellation. After the number of qualifiers is established per the rule above. We will simply continue down the final standing list and advance the first 8 teams that were registered for Lake Seminole and not already qualified.
A final master qualifier list will be published on the GHSA Bass Fishing website after each event once it has been verified.
